STAY CONNECTED WITH TWIN POWER:
As twins, we, Ann and Ali, started our path together, connected at the source. Today, we continue it together, as partners in Twin Power Yoga.
We share a single vision: we believe that, as the writers of our own lives, To Learn, Live, and Share Yoga is our one true path; our life love story and our life purpose. After trying other, more traditional paths, our return to yoga was a rekindling of a truth we always knew in our hearts. We now find ourselves on a lifelong journey to gain wisdom from yoga's ancient teachings, travels to India, and our own physical and spiritual practices. The yogic path we have written for ourselves has been dedicated to seeking the truth through intense study, spiritual introspection, and discipline of the mind-body-soul. Every day, we make it our mission to draw closer towards the innermost spirit, by awakening and enlivening the light that already exists within.
For us, our Twin Power's unique yoga philosophy was born from this sense of self-acceptance, self-love and self-discovery. We dreamed of a place open to anyone who wanted to learn how to return to that piece of perfection that resides in us all.
Today, we are in awe that we have been able to make that place a reality with the creation of the Twin Power Yoga School. We feel blessed that, through yoga, we are able to devote our lives fully to serving our students, training our teachers, and helping people access their own inner light; the light of beginning; the light of origin, the light of the source.
By sharing yoga, we share ourselves. We are one.
Love and Light,
Twin Power Yoga is a Hot Power Yoga Discipline .
It is a chant with the body and a sage for the soul. Our practice
is a celebration and a dance with the divine that symbolizes a
love story. We guide ourselves to rediscover the divinity that
resides within us.
It begins with celebrating Creation by setting an intention,
planting a seed of consciousness deep within our being. This
declaration is our desire for true happiness that is expressed
in the sound OM.
We then celebrate Evolution as we dance through a vigorous
yoga practice set to the tone of elevating music. We land in
child’s pose whenever our body or spirit needs nourishment.
The spiritual nuggets sprinkled throughout class offer a
refreshing perspective that ground our body. We balance our
chakras while calming our mind during the most challenging
moments. We acknowledge that the real source of happiness
lies in only one place… within ourselves.
Our personality layers, our preferences, and our thoughts of
separation Dissolve . We end practice seated in our truth, in
lotus position. Through a committed practice we are able to
reach an inner state of bliss where we acknowledge freedom,
happiness, and peace.
Twin Power Yoga brings us full circle helping us to unveil the
light that already exists within. We gain insight into ourselves
and our daily life becomes a sacred living practice we call
Yoga Life: our journey to discover our real SELF .
Transform your body and change your life with our exciting Yoga Life program. Long-term physical and spiritual goal-coaching, priority enrollment in workshops and retreats, and unlimited yoga at our north and south studios are just a few of the incredible benefits of this premiere Twin Power Yoga membership.
As a Yoga Life member, you make a year-long commitment to your body and soul. Sure, you could tell yourself you'll drop in on a class from time to time. Or, you could make your health and spirit a priority with Yoga Life. Indeed, our Yoga Life members make up the core of the Twin Power Yoga community, and are admired by other students for their intense commitment. If you're ready to dedicate yourself to a journey of self-transformation, Yoga Life is for you.
What Yoga Life Includes:
UNLIMITED YOGA AT TWIN STUDIOS
For the ultimate yoga convenience, practice at our Palm Beach Gardens studio on Donald Ross Rd or our centrally-located West Palm Beach studio on Clematis St. Showing up on the mat continuously is 99% of the Yoga Life challenge. Now you can practice no matter what side of town you're on.
GOAL COACHING
When you first become a Yoga Life member, you'll sit down with a Twin Power Team leader to define your physical and spiritual yoga goals for the year. We'll help you come up with goals that are specific, authentic, realistic, measurable, and timely. For example, you might choose to affirm to yourself, "I will master a handstand by January, 2012" or "I will complete the winter teacher training in January 2012."
We'll also help you define your own personally-tailored spiritual goals. We focus on tools like, "We are what we contemplate," abiding by Buddhas famous words, "All that we are is the result of what we have thought." Measured on a daily basis, your goal might be something like," I do my best everyday and leave the rest." Or, "I am perfect, whole, and complete. I accept myself as I am."
Finally, we'll ask you to think of something in your life that you are willing to let go of -- be it an ingrained habit or a negative thought pattern. You'll bring candor and an open mind to the table, and we'll help you excavate the source of the pattern, asking the tough questions about what kind of satisfaction could be gained by letting go. Through personal introspection and group support, you can achieve a better self. We work personally with Yoga Life members to make reaching all of their goals an affirmed reality.
PRIORITY PLACEMENT
We place Yoga Life members first in all of our programs and retreats. You'll receive personal invites to special events, first dibs on space in workshops (hello, Mexico!), and will be given preference when classes fill up.
VIP KEY TAG CHECK-IN
You'll avoid lines and swipe yourself into class with digital key tag check in -- it's fast, easy, and convenient.

Other Yoga Life Benefits You'll Enjoy:
IMPROVED HEALTH
A committed yoga practice is your own personal health insurance. Even a single class has the power to help you shed toxins, prevent disease, ward off elements that can cause infection, and return your body to its natural harmony. Through a dedicated Yoga Life practice, you'll enjoy a naturally cleansed, healthful body.
A TONED BODY
Our yoga practice is both vigorous and challenging. In fact, you will likely sweat more here than if youd just ran a marathon or finished an NFL workout. From first-time students to advanced yogis, everyone in the Yoga Life program can expect to achieve the significant tightening and toning of muscles and the increased muscular flexibility that is unique to our hot power style classes.
FLEXIBILITY YOU THOUGHT YOU HAD LOST
We've found that many of our committed students achieve the nimble flexibility of their teens and 20s with regular practice. This youthful flexibility is in your reach when you dedicate yourself to yoga at least 3 times a week with Yoga Life. The magic of our program is that it designed to continuously open hips, glutes, hamstrings and back muscles, unraveling dense muscle tissue into long, lean muscles that can easily bend and move.
REDUCED STRESS AND INCREASED SERENITY
The psychological transformation that happens in the mind during a yoga practice has to be experienced to be understood. Yoga students learn to enter a meditative calm space, where judgment, agitation, mental chatter, and frantic, racing thoughts are replaced by a sense of peace, bliss, love, and serenity. These are among the small miracles that can be found when one commits to a regular yoga practice. Indeed, we have found that people who take just an hour to breath every day are generally happier people. Just look at the faces of yogis when they leave the studio -- they are literally glowing with radiant smiles. Our students leave our endorphin-releasing practices feeling light, renewed and inspired. And it doesn't end there -- yoga's healing thoughts naturally carry over into the rest of the day, giving committed students a new lease on life.

Frequently Asked Questions & Answers:
Q: What if I am not flexible?
A: We encourage you to worry less about touching your toes and more about developing a flexible mind. You dont need to be physically flexible. Practicing Twin Power Yoga style will help you to develop both. All you need is to come as you are, and let the process unfold. 99% of yoga is simply showing up to your mat. It's that simple.
Q: Can beginners attend classes?
A: Absolutely. We encourage beginners to fully immerse themselves in the
process. Beginners are suggested to take childs pose and modify postures when necessary.
Q: What is Twin Power Yoga?
A: A Hot Power Yoga Discipline that powers the body ~ powers the soul.
Created by twin sisters Ann and Ali. Their unique style weaves a physical yoga practice with the spirituality of ancient yogic wisdom in easy to understand language. Classes are set to the tone of elevating music and are fun, authentic and refreshing. You will torch calories, burn fat and shed mental and physical toxins.
Q: Why do we set an intention before yoga class?
A: Setting an intention for ones personal yoga class helps to direct your vibration toward what you want to create in your life. We view the body as a vehicle for the soul to reach Self Realization.
Q: How should I feel DURING yoga class?
A: The most important thing to remember during your practice is that practicing is an exploration. Each pose is an experiment. Go slowly and listen to your body. Learn to determine whether you are pushing yourself too hard or with little effort. One of the goals of yoga is to reach your Edge. TPY defines going to ones edge as practicing within your capabilities but outside youre comfortably.
Q: What should I feel like AFTER yoga class?
A: After you leave yoga note how you feel. Most people experience lightness and equanimity in their body. You may experience acute mental awareness due to being in the present moment. Next day soreness is normal and welcomed.
Q: Why do we chant Om?
A: Om is a mantra, or vibration, that is traditionally chanted at the beginning and end of yoga practice. It is said to be the sound of the universe. Ancient yogis realized that the entire universe is moving. Nothing is either solid or still. Everything that exists pulsates. Creating a rhythmic vibration that ancient yogis acknowledge with the sound Om. Om means; what was, what is and what shall be.
Q: Why is the Studios Heated?
A: At Twin Power Yoga the studio is maintained at 90 degrees. Heat brings more oxygen to the muscles an helps in the removal of waste products such as lactic acid and carbon dioxide. Makes muscles more elastic, shock absorbing and less susceptible to injury and improves coordination. Speeds up the breakdown of glucose and fatty acids which help burn fat more easily. Helps produce a fluid-like stretch that allows for greater range of motion.
At Twin Power, our Etiquette is simple:
Store Personal Items:
We surrender all our personal items inside designated cubbies.
That means we leave behind cell phones, shoes, purses/wallets, sunglasses, keys as soon as we step foot on the yoga floor. Its a sacred practice to leave our attachments at the door. All you need is water, sweat towel and mat.
Don't skip the end of Class:
It's a symbolic practice at Twin Power Yoga to stay till the very end. Savasana is the desert of our practice. We stay for ourselves but also for the respect for other yogis. Its the best time and space for your body and soul to really connect as one.
What to Eat:
Yoga is best done on an empty stomach, allow at least 2 hours for digestion before coming to class. If you are hungry, eat something light that you can easily digest. A piece of fruit, juice or smoothie. Since you will be sweating, its important to keep hydrated. Make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day.
What to Bring:
Your staples are always a yoga mat, a towel and water. If you dont have your essentials you can rent a mat ($2) purchase a hand towel ($3) and water ($1). When you commit to a regular practice you will want to invest in a high performance mat and full-length yogitoe slip proof towel like the ones we sell at the studio.
